I.
What it keeps track of
From the bag on the counter to the money in the consignor's hand.
- 01IntakeEnter a whole bag for one consignor in one go. Shopify products are created with the SKU, tags and stock — or link products you already sell.
- 02LabelsPrint hang-tag labels with a Code 128 barcode straight from the admin.
- 03SalesWhen an order is paid, the consignor is credited their split of what you actually collected — after discounts, before tax.
- 04RefundsReturns reverse the share at the split it was sold at. A webhook Shopify sends twice is still only booked once.
- 05MarkdownsSet a schedule — say 20% off after 30 days. Due items queue up each morning; apply them by hand or let the app do it.
- 06ExpiryItems that reach the end of their term are flagged for return or donation, and can be switched to draft.
- 07PayoutsSee who has a cleared balance and pay by cash, check, bank transfer or Shopify store credit. Each payout has a printable statement.
- 08PortalEvery consignor gets a private, read-only link to their items, sales and balance. No buyer names, nobody else's numbers.

IV.
Questions shop owners ask
- Does it move my inventory out of Shopify?
- No. Products, stock and orders stay in Shopify. Resale Ledger only keeps the consignment side: who owns what, and what they're owed.
- How is a consignor's share worked out?
- Price × quantity, minus discounts (and tax, if your prices include it), times their split. Rounded half-even to your currency's smallest unit.
- What if I book something wrong?
- Add an adjustment. Nothing in the ledger is edited or deleted, so every balance can be traced line by line.
- Do I need Shopify POS?
- It's built for shops on POS, but the admin works without it. The POS tile is there for quick lookups and intake at the counter.
- Multiple locations or currencies?
- Not yet. Stock is set at your primary location and amounts are in your shop currency.
- Is there a free plan?
- No — there's a 14-day free trial on both plans, billed through Shopify after that.
